Last weekend we had athletes race at Karri Valley. It was a wet day but over the 1.2 swim 60 bike and 12 run it made it better than being boiling hot.  like previous years.

In the women Katey Gibb picked up 2nd place female and was crowned South West Series Champion, Tineke Hancey raced great to pick up 3rd before having a break to build for World Champs in Auckland, NZ. In their age groups Rod Atkinson 2nd, Bruce Matthew 3rd, Stu Denton fastest swim and Bryce Parry had mechanical problems. In the short course Jaz Dillion won with Scott Bailey taking 3rd in the Mens.

In Geraldton Triathon Rod Marton was 3rd overall, while the Mens team was 1st with Alistair Press and Shaun Edwards and the Mixed team was also 1st with Liz Sinclair, Natalie and Ross Pedlow.

Geraldton was a great country race with all athletes looking to go back next year for more.
